Professional and Research interests:

Dr Lyndsey Moon is a Counselling Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at Roehampton University, where she teaches on the DPsych programme in Counselling Psychology. She is also part of the teaching programme in Sociology at Warwick University, and has received two ESRC postgraduate awards, including a senior Fellowship Award for research. She is a member of the committee for the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, an affiliate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr Moon has worked in the field of drugs and alcohol for 20 years, and she has her own private psychotherapy practice.

Dr Moon’s research interests are queer theory, sexualities, genders and emotion. She has edited two books:

'Counselling Ideologies: Queer Challenges to Heteronormativity' (Ashgate, 2010)

'Feeling Queer or Queer Feelings: radical approaches to counselling sex, sexualities and genders' (Routledge, 2008)
