Annual Awards

The Section will be awarding three prizes for the year 2013/14:

1. The Psychology of Sexualities Section 'Practitioner Award' - details coming soon.

2. The Psychology of Sexualities Section 'Research Award' to any professional, in the UK or Internationally, writing within the field of sexualities (8,000 words max incl refs). The award will be for £150.

3. The Psychology of Sexualities Section 'Student Prize' awarded for an outstanding piece of work (5,000 words max incl. refs) to a student (UK or International) writing in relation to sexualities. The prize awarded will be £75, and if the winner is also a BPS member, then the Section will pay the annual subscription to the Psychology of Sexualities Section for one year.

The results will be announced at the Section's annual AGM and winners of the awards will be invited to attend with travel costs covered for those travelling within the UK only.

By entering the competition, winners are agreeing to their work being published in the Section’s published text: ‘The Psychology of Sexualities Review’.

The work may be case studies, qualitative, quantitative studies or mixed methods - but not previously published elsewhere. All work must be authentic and original.

Committee members of PoS Section are not allowed to enter the competition.

All student entries must have a covering letter from their Institution to show they are eligible as a student to enter the competition.

Please send all entries (electronic preferably) to:

Eli Joubert, Clinical Psychologist at HEJOUBERT@GMAIL.COM.

Hard copies should be sent to Eli Joubert, Clinical Psychologist, The York Clinic, Guys Hospital, London, SE1 3RR.

FINAL DATE FOR ACCEPTANCE OF WORK: 30th April 2014
